What

It's (almost) our tenth birthday! To celebrate, we're having a throwback event where you can write for one of the many previous themed events hosted by Fief Goldenlake.

Do you picture Briar as a fairytale prince? Try it out in the Fairytales Challenge! Have a plot bunny where George is a famous Vegas magician trying to win the heart of his lady-love Alanna? Check out the Harlequin Romance Challenge! Or maybe you're feeling spooky, and want to write a fic where Kel and her friends battle ghosts as well as bandits. In that case, consider Supernatural Week.

Whatever theme you are in the mood for, you can find it in the archive of Goldenlake Themed Events. For this event, you can write for any of our previous themed events, except 100 Words Week, Twitter Weekend, or Wyldon Winter (sorry, guys, it's just not winter).

Guidelines for each event have been linked below. Original word limits (if any) do not apply for this event, though there is a blanket 100 word minimum rule. Please use the event's original tag (e.g. 'AU Week' for Alternate Universe Week, or 'RRW' for Role Reversal Week). All tags are listed below.

What you need to know

1. Normal Goldenlake fanfiction rules on ratings and content apply.

Hooray! There are a few I either didn't get around to doing or wasn't here for, so I'm looking forward to trying those.

Also, the event will be open for three weeks, which hopefully gives everybody time to participate!

Rosie, yeah, I wasn't here for a lot of these, so I'm looking forward to a chance to try to write for some of those I wasn't here to participate in before.

I knooow, hard to know where to start. I put a small rec list on the tumblr, which may help, or there's always the library. I think I might try my hand at Crossover (again), tempted by AU (but, really, I always do AU), and Role Reversal week since it's got such a small number of responses (also embarrassing, because I think I helped conceive it originally).

Funny you mention AUs, Rosie. My muse is now tempting me to write one about Kally being a page, and I have only written one other AU in my entire history of writing fanfiction. I'm surprising myself by even thinking about writing one...
