I don't think I saw any specific ones in the forum, but how about a section for fan clubs? For pairings, characters, or even series. The thing about fan clubs is that they have the potential to expand into their own smaller worlds - drabbles, challenges, fan arts, and cool links to do with the appreciation of that group. Personally, I would like to be able to discuss and share stuff about my fave ship/pairing with other members who also support it, while avoiding bringing up a debate in a general open thread where I have to defend my likes or dislikes. Of course, this would probably work best once you have a susbstantial amount of members - and members who are keen Just a thought.

I think this came up in the general suggestions thread. It's something we're keeping open for consideration as a future possibility, but at this point, we're not convinced that such things will add anything to the board.
That said, for discussion of ships, etc, you're more that welcome to start a shipping thread (EG: Kel/Dom Shipping Thread). If you put it like that, I think most people would get the idea that it's a supportive thread. Most people here are quite open minded, and will respect your shipping preferences. ^.^

Isha is correct. My response last time this was brought up was: I completely agree that fan clubs have the potential to expand into smaller worlds My attitude is basically that any Goldenlake fan clubs/societies we have will earn their keep. You hit the nail on the head though, regarding members - we have so many things going on at the moment compared to the number of members we have, that I'm not comfortable adding anything else to the pile - in the next month we have a fanfic competition, an art drive, a fanzine issue, two book clubs AND the building of a resources site. I will tell you though, that later in the year we are looking at trialling one fan club, when we host the Peculiar Pairings Fic-a-thon

Thanks for clearing that up. And I completely understand the thing about it being a future prospect. Goldenlake's plate is quite full already, and And I know most people here are open-minded! That's what makes this place great. I really appreciate you guys considering it though, and I guess I should have read around further to avoid bringing up this topic again.
