Tammy answered my questions on Random Buzz! I really wished I would have found the link earlier >_< I had so many questions. But I got some really cool information on Maura!

Fate, hi!

I just really, really, really wanted to ask if they're anything you can tell us about the Maura of Dunlath book that you haven't already shared? I'm insanely excited for them, I've become a real fangirl of Maura.

Well, it begins when she's 15, and her guardian, Sir Douglass, breaks the dreadful news to her that her aunt says it's time she acted like a noble, and has summoned Maura to be her lady-in-waiting. Since she's blood family, Sir Douglass doesn't feel he can refuse. So Maura goes to her aunt, along with her counsellors, a wolf, a squirrel, and an ogre (a small one).

It sorta goes downhill from there.

That is a bright side - and I'm sort of thinking that he's not married since he can up sticks and move to Dunlath. I am still indignant that he's being overlooked, though

ETA: 6. We don’t really see Douglass of Veldine between his Ordeal and when he is appointed as Maura’s guardian. What does he do for all that time in between?

Hmm... Maura at fifteen means this story takes place during Page. And that means this book can only cover a period of time equal to or less than three years, since the pages go to Fief Dunlath during the summer Kel turns fourteen (when Maura is seventeen).
