Does anyone know the correct date Bloodhound is released in Australia?
Tammy said on her livejournal that the release had been pulled forward 2 weeks, from April 28 to April 14. I'm thinking that this only applies to North America though, because all the Australian stores and sites list the release date as May 1, but does anyone know for sure?

Nothing on her LJ seems to indicate as much. It might be a case that the bookstores are just slack. But normally we get it on the US release dates, if I'm not wrong.

I've done some research - apparently Angus and Robertson, QBD, Borders etc all release Bloodhound on May 1st. BUT - Big W (of all places?!) is releasing it on April 14, according to their website (the wonders of Google LOL). Fishpond.com.au is also looking promising (I got Melting Stones from there before it was available in bookstores in Aus).

Is there an Australian version of Amazon.com? And if nothing else, you can always buy it off of Half.com.

I'm hoping that if you can get it in Australia on the 14th, it'll be the same in NZ. I really really really want it before the 16th because I'm going to Melbourne on the 17th and want something to read on the plane!
Although maybe if I can't get it here before I go, I could buy it there and then read it on the flight back home.

Hey guys, I posted something similar on Sheroes - I called up Scholastic Australia VERY frustrated, they said that it would not be released until May 1st - and they seemed to think that Big W had it wrong But i'm more than happy for Big W to release it early anyway!!

This is where I found it. Maybe Big W has an overseas supplier? I think I'm going to order it online from them

oh, god, i hope so! I would have loved Terrier WITHOUT the Tortall-aspect, so i'm really excited for Bloodhound.
... $36.73 seems like a random price...

Oh good, we don't have that coloured thing on the cover! Yeah, I thought they were normally closer to $20.00. ETA - Dymocks lists at $25, but no release date, same with QBD. A&R has no release date, but has the ickier covers.

Big W is selling it hardback though, which explains the price, and also makes me think they must have an overseas supplier.

I rang up my local Big W... they said they couldn't guarantee that the b ook will be on the shelves on the 14th so I ordered it online. Exciting!

I bought a (paperback!) copy in Melbourne while I was there. They didn't have it in Borders, but the shop I got it from was called Reader's Feast, on the corner of Bourke and Swanston streets.
