Art Resources

For the budding fanartists out there, we've compiled a list of some great resources that are out there on the internet. Remember that while these are generally free for personal use, most owners do ask that you give them credit and link back to them in some way, either with the art post, or in a general resource list.

Fonts:
www.dafont.com/ - Great selection of fonts.
www.1001freefonts.com/ - Decent selection of free font downloads.
www.urbanfonts.com/ - Good selection of free fonts, with a cool sidebar of top searches.

Caps:
tamorapierce.com/ - I think this one's reasonably self explanatory, but check out the gallery section for covers.
fiefgoldenlake.webs.com/ - There's a gallery for covers that aren't easily found or that aren't on Tammy's gallery. And we have some real gems in there.

Brushes:
meleada.livejournal.com/ - Wonderful icon-sized brushes for almost everything.
iiokua.livejournal.com/ - Beautiful icon brushes, and her masking brushes are particularly gorgeous.
www.obsidiandawn.com/ - A wonderful site for high-resolution brushes, perfect for wallpapers and larger graphics.
scully7491.deviantart.com/ - Really nifty brushes, of all sorts of things. Her 'icon brushes' set is fabulous. If you do visit, check out the rest of her gallery, she has some beautiful artwork.

Textures:
colorfilter.livejournal.com - A staple for all icon makers, she has great textures for icons. Her light textures are really cool too.
ewanism.livejournal.com/ - Another favourite for icon makers, she has great textures and brushes, especially for those wanting a slightly grungier look.
foxxie-chan.deviantart.com/ - My personal favourite texture place. She has textures for almost everything.

Tutorials
www.elfwood.com/farp/art.html - A large amount of tutorials, on everything from drawing to digital art to clothing folds.
dianae.deviantart.com/art/Digital-Painting-Tutorial-74468761 - Lovely and indepth tutorial on digital painting, with some good resources.
foxbane.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-Painting-Hair-in-PS-39739048 - Good photoshop hair tutorial, and fairly easy to follow.
cataclysm-x.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-How-to-draw-hair-50774338 - Great on how to draw (with a pencil) all types of hair.
