Title: Covert Rating: G Word Count: 19 words Summary (and any Warnings): Some Tortallans continue to have vested interests in Sarain. Notes: I guess I'm doing a foreign policy series? Maybe?
-
Jon is a good man, which is why he never asks what the Queen's assets are doing in Sarain.

Oh, I like this. That Thayet is still involving herself with Sarain and that Jon is subtle enough not to comment or ask about that. I'd love a longer fit from you exploring that involvement in Sarain in more detail some day. That'd be cool.

Oh, now this is interesting. So many things Thayet could be up to...

I'm so curious about Thayet's relationship to Sarain! Excited to see what a foreign policy series will look like.

Thanks guys! I think we have a piece of q-canon mentioning Thayet still checks in on Sarain, though I don't usually feel particularly bound by anything Pierce says that's not in the books. There's a lot of interesting things there though: the new warlord married a K'miri princess and is trying to make peace, but you have to wonder how stable things will really be given the different K'miri tribes and also Thayet (as Kalasin's daughter), and just generations of hatred.
