Title: Sought Glory Rating: PG-13 for references to violence. Word Count: 31 Summary: Lianne’s husband does not seek glory. Notes: Part IV of my Lianne series. Written for mistrali’s “Glory” prompt. Thanks to mistrali for the inspiration. Sought Glory “My father sought glory, and thousands of his people died in his wars,” Roald said, and Lianne knew that was why he would never spill Tortallan blood defending his father’s conquests.

mistrali, thanks! I totally picture Roald being a pacifist and a peacemaker (perhaps to a fault) being a reaction against all the conquest of his in my opinion rather war-mongering and imperialist father, so I do try to show that perspective on Roald when I can to sort of explain why he thinks and acts so differently to Jon, because his early experiences were so different than Jon's.
