Hi, guys. In these difficult times, we thought an open-ended wishing tree would be a nice idea. We don't want to place additional obligations on anyone who might be struggling, so there's a two month period in which to write, more prompts allowed, no word limits, and though we ask that you try to write for someone else, we appreciate that it can be tough to find the words in these times and your wishlist won't be removed unless it's at your request. Wishing Tree Guidelines
What:A fanfiction gift-giving, where you write drabbles for as many others as you choose people -- while receiving fic written for you. Who: Anyone willing and able to join in! When:4 April through to 30 June Where:In the Events board - sign up by filling in the form on the sign-up post. Look through everyone else's wish lists, and post your fic gifts whenever they are ready! How:- Sign up by filling out the form and posting it in the thread in the Events forum - Look through the wish-lists of other members. Choose prompts/requests, and write gift-drabbles for them. - Post your completed gifts in the Events forum. Rules:1. Fics and prompts must comply with normal Goldenlake fic rules and standards (eg no NC-17 prompts or fics) 2. Multiple responses can be made to a single request (i.e. if you request Wyldon in a dress, two different people can write you Wyldon-in-a-dress-stories) 3. Posting format should be: In thread subject: For [user], Title, Rating In post:Title: Rating: For: Prompt: Summary: Notes and Warnings: 4. Fic set in Tempests and Slaughter should go here to avoid spoiling anyone.

Very glad to realise that Wishing Tree is open until the end of May - I was feeling disappointed that I hadn't done as much writing as I'd planned and was prepared to abuse my power to extend the date, so it was a nice surprise to log on and find I don't have to!

Kypriotha, me too. I have toyed with a couple of ideas in my head but haven't formed anything up yet, and it turns out I don't have as much time as I thought I would. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Yeah, the fact that I still have almost a month to write left is much appreciated. I have some ideas for stories pinballing in my head, but so far I've failed to write many of them down. I'd like to be able to write down and share a couple more of them before the event ends, especially since gift stories are probably much appreciated in tough times like these.

Same here. I know the prompt I want to write, but have no real ideas.

I did think about opening it to the end of June initially but figured there was always the possibility of extending it later if people wanted. I'm feeling similarly uninspired right now, hopefully something clicks soon!

Same here! I actually have a few fics started but nothing finished yet.

I'm in the same boat creativity-wise. Things begun and not yet finished.
Goes to show that all those posts floating around on social media about not feeling bad because you aren't as productive as usual are actually quite reassuring.

Extension till the end of June?? I've got one solid idea now, and one flimsy one.

An extension? Good, maybe now I'll be able to write something for someone!
