Pride - particularly having an excessively high opinion of oneself, or of one's abilities or importance, is a common enough failing. It also often comes before a fall.

Are there times where our characters have stumbled for their pride?

So many characters seem to have a flaw of pride so there are so many different directions to take this prompt for a story.
