Best Suited?

Off the back of our Peculiar Pairings Bingo, which characters do you think could be romantically suited to one another? Don't worry about feasibility (we once had a competition pairing Raoul and Sabine, and I have to say, they suited each other nicely).

I have always had a fondness for Cythera/Jon - I think, discounting their romantic partners, they'd have made a nice, balanced match. I think Cythera would have learned to handle Jon, though their partnership wouldn't have broken so many boundaries as that of Jon and Thayet.

Also, Thayet/George if she'd managed to be the teacher she intended to be.

I'll take a stab at this even though I'm probably a bad person to answer since I tend to write about more canon pairings (I was taking a big step out of my comfort zone with the Peculiar Pairings Bingo) but with that disclaimer, I will say I always liked the idea of Coram/Maude. Something about the mother and father figures of the Trebond twins been romantically involved would make me feel like Coram, Maude, Alanna, and Thom were even more of a family. Evin/Miri was also a pairing that always felt right to me do to Evin's playful personality and pranks. Onua/Sarge seemed like they could bond over taking refuge in Tortall and painful pasts in slavery and domestic violence. Kaddar/Daine also works for me at least in a childhood crush way as does Kel/Owen. There I go, stepping outside my comfort zone again...

You could make it work in a time travel fic or something

For some reason I think Dove/Kel could work, in a sort of time travel fic where Kel is younger. They have the same calm demeanors, I feel like they would have a relationship full of mature communication.

If you get the time or inspiration, I would love to see this! And you know nobody minds about feasibility where there’s a good pairing to be had

Would also love to see Dove/Kel! Lisa and I wrote a lot of Kel/Maura for SMACKDOWN one year, and that was unexpectedly delightful.

I really like Kel/Raoul because it's just so interesting! As individuals they both get deeply involved with the events around them and their principles are similar enough that they're likely to get along no matter what. I love playing with dynamics and it fascinates me how many ways their relationship could pan out depending on when they realise they like each other!

Please do!! This was actually the long time-travel fic I've been haphazardly working on for years, but I haven't made much progress.

I would also be very down for an Aly/Alex! I'll see if any inspiration strikes me too, though seems a little unlikely at the moment - too preoccupied with other fic writing
