Ooohhh, I really like this one! The stone/rock imagery is a great play on Alex's place of birth and the exploration of Alex's fate is interesting.

So glad you liked this one since I do love exploring Alex. For some reason, I've always pictured rocks as a very fitting image for Alex since he comes from the hill lands and because he seems so hard and inscrutable so I'm happy to know that imagery worked well for you. Alex's fate is something I never get tired of delving into because it seems like what we are told in canon is the tip of the iceberg in terms of Alex's motivations.
