Anyone else playing this? I just got onto Second Year, which means Transfiguration with McGonagall, ridiculously happy.
I find it a little restrictive sometimes (they clearly guide you onto the 'correct' responses by offering points!), but it's mostly fun and nice to have a storyline to follow.
Also, if you are playing, what house did you pick? I chose Ravenclaw - the Common Room is so pretty!

I played for a couple of days, and then I realised how much data it chewed through, and I have low resistance to the buy things to get more energy... I did enjoy it though, and I liked the premise. It was pretty cool, and I do wonder how out there you can make your character - can you get expelled? How are you finding your choices as a non-Gryffindor, Rosie? Some of the reviews I saw mentioned that some of the choices etc were too Gryffindorish.

I've never played it, but it sounds cool. I have to try it some time. I'm sure it would make my train commute home more enjoyable some days:)

Huh, I wonder if it is possible to get expelled - you certainly come close enough.
I'm not so bothered about the Gryffindor choices, but the Hufflepuff ones, where you help people despite them being terrible people, do bother me. But I guess I'm actually helping them for points, so...
I also only play on my ipad, so the data issues don't really bother me, and it's not a compelling enough game to make me even tempted to purchase energy, rather than wait for the morning. Also, if you find Peeves (usually in the East Tower), he'll give you an energy point.

I have been entirely out of the loop on this game. I remember seeing a tumblr post that was hyping a similar idea, maybe pre-publicity? I'm definitely downloading it once my exams are over! Not sure if I should play as a Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, though... I get mixed results on Sorting quizzes.

I too am on second year, and I’m playing as a Slytherin.
I like the plot but the energy thing really annoys me, and it’s a money sink since you can’t really get through a whole class without running out of energy.
I also wish they had done more with the classes, it’d be next centuries f you could actually make potions etc.

Yeah, once you've played the classes through once, they are very formulaic, especially the preparatory class. There's a number of places round the castle I found you can pick up energy, but these are mostly in the corridors (paintings, books, a house elf), so can't affect the class problem. Pretty excited to meet Bill Weasley soon, though!
(edit - actually, you can leave the class to go pick up eight points of energy around the corridors, things like suits of armour, a house elf, paintings, but these don't replenish regularly)
