Hi, it's been a long time since I've been on a fan forum, but I remembered that introduction threads are common practice so I thought I'd give one a shot.

My name is Aki.
I like reading, videogames, music, and roleplay. At my work we are allowed to wear earbuds so I listen to audiobooks whenever I can. 
Out of all my hobbies roleplay is probably the one I spend the most time on. I really like the collaborative writing aspect of rp that you can have online, it's like enjoying a story with a friend.

My favorite TP series is probably the Trickster's series. I love the trickster archetype and political intrigue.
Favorite TP character is probably Nawat, though I really like most of the characters quite a bit.

Video Games: Phoenix Wright, Persona 5, Advance Wars
Music: Glitch Hop, Vaporwave, Bluegrass, Punk Rock
Books: To many to even try listing...
Other: Miraculous Ladybug and EGS are favs of mine as well.

For pronouns, I'm non-binary, so I prefer they/their, but I'm really fine with whatever.

Welcome, aki. Nice to meet you. I know we spoke quite a bit on the Numair Chronicles board, but it is good to have this introduction.

That's so cool that your workplace allows you to listen to audio books. I bet you can get through lots of great books that way.

I used to do a lot of roleplaying (particularly in Star Wars, one of my other favorite fandoms). The forum where I used to do Star Wars roleplaying has kind of died out over the years, but I did enjoy the collaborative writing aspect that you mentioned, and I think that it did improve my writing skills overall. Also it was just a fun hobby that introduced me to other fans.

I enjoyed the political intrigue that you mentioned in the Tricker's series (I am a big fan of political intrigue), and I always was drawn to the setting of the Copper Isles. It just felt very vibrant to me and like a place I'd love to explore if I could get there myself. I also just enjoyed a lot of the characters like Dove.

I know what you mean about it being hard to pick a favorite TP character. Even for each series, it's hard for me to pick a favorite character. I love a lot of them.

Despite my feelings about the canon, I really love the Trickster characters - Dove and Sarai in particular are favourites, but I love Chenaol too.
