The Numair Chronicles: Fanfiction and Fanart Subforum
Spoiler Policy
This subforum is for fanfiction and fanart of The Numair Chronicles. Any and all fic and art in relation to this series is to be contained within this forum only and not posted anywhere else on the site. The full spoiler policy for this subforum can be found here.
All members please note: spoiler warnings are not required in the subject line of fanfiction and fanart posted in this subforum. Please be aware that any and all posts in this forum could contain spoilers.
Spoiler warnings (including major spoiler warnings) will be included in the brief summary at the start of the fic/art post.
Posting Rules
Just a few rules to ensure things run smoothly!
1. This is the general posting format we would like you to follow for fanfiction:
Subject line: Title, rating
Title:
Summary:
Rating:
Warnings:
Author's Notes:
[Main body of fic]
It should go in the first post of your thread, though there is of course no need to repeat this for subsequent chapters. Multi-chaptered fics should all be posted in the same thread, in as few posts as possible.
2. This is the general posting format we would like you to follow for fanart:
Subject line: Type of art, title (if applicable), rating, warnings (if applicable)
Type of art:
Title (if applicable)
Rating:
Series:
Author's notes/warnings:
Summary (if applicable):
[Artsy stuffs]
3. Please do include warnings if necessary (both content warnings and spoiler warnings, especially major spoiler warnings), so others can choose whether they wish to read the fic or view the art (or not).
For fan art, content warnings (if applicable) should be included in the subject line of your post. By the time someone has opened the post, it's probably too late.
4. The rating system will follow the American film ratings guide. No fics equivalent to an NC-17 rating permitted. For those unfamiliar with the ratings guide, please see here.
5. Fanfictions must be posted in their entirety - offsite linking in place of the body of the fic is NOT permitted and may result in your story being deleted and you being asked to repost in the correct format.
6. Please use thumbnails for large images. If your image is more than 300x300pixels, please use a thumbnail. For those that don't know how to do this, use the following code and remove the asterisks: [*url=picture-link][*img=thumbnail-link][/img].
Websites like Photobucket will generate thumbnail codes as well. This is so those on slower connections don't have to deal with a tonne of large images.
7. Be respectful of others' work and reviews. Constructive criticism is encouraged, flaming is not (and may result in disciplinary action).
The general Goldenlake rules apply to this subforum (see News & Rules for details).
8. Plagiarising or reposting others' fic or art without their express permission is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
There is a general disclaimer for the board, to be found in News & Rules, and therefore no need to repeat this in your fics or art. However, if you use resources, images, quotes etc from someone else, please credit them appropriately in the author's note.
