So, work ate my life this year...
But thank goodness I'm on holiday now. What's everyone doing for Christmas and New Year?

I've got three hours of work left this year! It's been a tough one, but I'm looking forward to some pyjama time. My sister has three kids under three, so I'll be with them for a couple of days before Christmas, and then back to my parents' house for the event itself.
Looking forward to catching up on all the fic when I have a chance!

I feel you on the work front Idleness! Although I also changed jobs halfway through the year (really that long ago?), which is part of why work has been so busy this year. Very low key Christmas this year, just my parents, sisters and I. I'm just glad to have a some time off to have a break and re-organise my apartment. Have to do final Christmas prep this weekend, but I'm also looking forward to catching up on Wishing Tree fic when that's done!

Oh man, life has been crazy. For one thing I’m currently studying overseas and speaking another language right now which is an amazing experience but I won’t complain too much when I return home in a few weeks. It’s been a while since I was on Goldenlake (a month? two?) but I’m ready to jump back in and hopefully participate in a lot of events this year! Fingers crossed that life settles down a bit 😄

Drat all of the responsibilities of real life, right? Well I went on holiday for Christmas and new year. My partner and I did a bit of a road trip and traveled down a recently reopened highway that was badly damaged by an earthquake just over a year ago, to be nosy at the engineering works and gawk at the huge uplift of the seabed that happened, so that was cool. And we stayed at this really cute little restored gold rush era hotel in a little town in the middle of nowhere. Back into real life now though!
