Title - Earthen Memory Rating - G Word Count - 36 Summary (and any warnings) - Kalasin is leaving for her arranged marriage in Carthak, she takes a piece of home with her. Notes
Not one person on the ship commented on her lingering by the shore, nor on the pouch of dirt clutched firmly in Kalasin’s hand as the faint outline of her new life flickered on the horizon.

This captures so well a sadness that she may never get to see her homeland again, or at least not for many years.

Aww. Great use of description here - I especially like "the faint outline of her new life flickered on the horizon".

This is beautifully done! A lovely mixture of sadness but also a little bit of hope.
