Title: The Roar of the Lioness
Rating: PG
Word Count: 369 words
Summary: SotL, romance blurb style.
Lady Alanna of Trebond has only one dream - to become a knight of the Kingdom of Tortall. No damsel in distress or swooning princess, Alanna intends to fight for her country instead of learning to be a lady. And so Alan leaves for Corus and enters life as a page, where new adventures await... As well as new friends, enemies and chances for her secret to be uncovered...
*
Keeping her secret is not so easy. Desperate times have called for desperate measures, and now both Jonathan, Prince of Tortall, and George, King of Thieves, know her secret. Trusting both men with her life is one matter, but trusting them with her heart is another, especially when both seek to win it. Passionate declarations on the eve of war and passionate reunions after battle only seek to confuse Alanna further, with the Goddess's warning that Alanna should let love in... before jealousy takes hold.
*
She has chosen the Prince and killed the Duke, but will she be Queen? Away from Corus, Alanna seeks new adventures, and an escape from two lovelorn suitors back in Corus. She loves Jonathan, but he is jealous of George's clear affection, and she cannot refute it with a clear heart. Prepared to propose, the Prince takes on greater responsibilities and makes further plans... But are he and Alanna on the same path?
*
There are plenty more fish in the sea, and after a painful, horrid split from Jonathan, Alanna has no wish to be anywhere near Corus... except to see George, and he sweeps her off her feet. Lost in love for a little while, it is easy to ignore the world, but duty calls George back to Corus and the lure of adventure is too strong for Alanna to resist. Armed with new adventures and potential jewels, Alanna sets off to new countries, and finds a new lover on the way. But all is not at it seems, and soon Alanna is fighting for her life in deadly cold... Will there be a Princess for her Prince? Will she claim glory for Tortall? What whispers are there, of an old enemy returned? Will Alanna fulfil her dreams?
And will the Lioness find love, forever?
