Summary - Time travel fic, Kalasin/Kylaia.
Notes - I don't know where this pairing came from but they are two characters I have always adored and anyway now I have written the blurb I am wishing so hard there was actual fic for them.



Twas a fateful day when Kalasin of Conte discarded the splendour of a royal wedding and fled with a knights garb and her brother’s sword and was never seen again. Although the wealth and might of the kingdom were pitted against any who may have harmed the girl, she had stumbled into fate in the form of a time portal. So while her loved ones mourned a tragedy beyond measure, for Kalasin it was only the beginning.

For decades earlier the young royal had been found by a similarly young woman in white and shining silver. The chance meeting on a lonely hill would begin a journey to the far reaches of the known world, to adventure, to two women fighting side by side all blurring speed and astounding beauty and most importantly, love.

A pair sung of by bards in lands far further than Kalasin had ever known. The Sparrow and the Unicorn.

I am actually ridiculously tempted to write this as a longer fic. (as a normal story not a mills and boon romance)
However I have only ever written one-shots, drabbles and blurbs (clearly) before.
Anyone else think it has fic potential or is it just because I am sleep deprived and having a Kalasin and Kylaia fangirl moment?

I love the idea! You could write snapshots of scenes which happen, as a way to expand your writing by starting with what you know. I would love to read the scene where Kalasin decides to run away =)

Yeah reading this I felt like it was waay too lovely to just be a Harlequin drabble!

As housewife has said, a really good way to bust out longer fic if you aren't used to writing them is to do one in vignette format. Interweave a series of oneshots in which you cover the Key Things that get them together. Or whatevs. Really I'll read anything more you have on these two.

I will definitely try and write some one shots and see if I can string them together, it can be a fun project to do when I am not studying.
