FINAL - WINNER'S FIC

ALANNA/JONATHAN VS GEORGE/ROGER

Alanna gasped as she heard the slide of steel from a sheath.
Jon turned, to find George holding a dagger, aimed at Alanna. Roger stood behind him, his wizard's rod pointed straight at Jonathan. "This is how it ends then."

"For you, yes." Roger smirked. "Your crown is forfeit, cousin mine."

Alanna rolled her eyes as she drew her sword. Roger pointed his staff at Alanna and sent a bolt of magic towards her. The lady knight ducked just as Jon put up a barrier, deflecting the bolt. It bounced against the wall, before hitting George and knocking him to the floor.

Roger cried out in anguish, blasting fire at the royal couple, and Jon struggled to maintain his shield. Alanna chanted a spell, and the ground below opened up, swallowing the Duke of Conte and the King of the Rogues into the ground below.

As the ground closed up again, they leant against each other, exhausted. "The realm is safe once more," Jon whispers against her hair, happy to be alive.

The winner is Alanna/Jonathan!

Alanna/Jonathan: 175

And canon has it! Congratulations to both teams for making it this far, and for the amazing fic that they've written! The quality of fic this year has been amazing, across all the teams.

I'd also like to point out that nobody thought that Alanna/Jon would win SMACKDOWN 2013 at the end of Round 1, which just goes to show how compeletly unpredictable SMACKDOWN can be.

We definitely would like to encourage everyone to read and review the amazing fics that have been written this year. We'll keep the Stands and Past Fights boards open for another week before moving the fic to the library.
