Title: Step Rating: PG Word Count: 136 Pairing: Alanna/Jonathan Round/Fight: 2A Summary: Another thing to relearn.
“I know how to dance,” said Alanna, crossing her arms.
“I think that’s debatable,” Jon said, not bothering to hide his smirk. “But you know what I mean. You’ve never danced as a girl.”
She wished she could excuse this whole thing as more silliness brought on by wearing a dress, but she couldn’t deny that she had wondered. The way that Jonathan was looking at her now made her skin tingle. What would his hand feel like pressed against her back, with only silk between them? The low neckline of her dress made her feel strangely shy, but the thought of his strong chest close to hers was enough to make her face grow hot.
“Just once,” he said, suddenly closer. He reached for her hand, and somehow it fitted itself against his palm. “Please.”

Oh, this is good. I like the odd sort of simultaneous awkwardness and desire Alanna feels; they're two quite conflicting feelings, and it's nice to see Alanna wanting to look/feel more feminine but not being completely at ease with it.
