Curious to know if anyone on here knows about the Tortall Comics Project, and even more curious to know if any one on here may be involved in it.
For those who don't know, TCP is a group on DeviantArt that's been working for over a year now on creating a comic-book anthology of the Tortall books. We each got to choose our favorite scenes, working either in a group of artists or alone.
We were given Tammy's approval to make it, as well. It's in the long publishing process currently.
If you have heard of it, what do you think about it?

I wasn't aware of it, but I'll look it up. Sounds interesting.
I got fed up with DeviantArt and deleted my account about a year ago though. Haven't drawn anything since finishing art school anyway. :-P

Ooh! You went to art school? That's exciting. People tell me I should but I don't really want to go into art. I just like doing it for fun. Here's a link to the page for it, if anyone wants to look through it. tortallcomicsproject.deviantart.com/

Cheers, I'll have a look through the galleries later. People tell me I should but I don't really want to go into art. I just like doing it for fun. If it's any help, I'm not intending to go into the art world either. I mostly did my course for personal interest. It also depends on what type of art school you choose, too. If you go to a technical school you learn more practical skills and stuff, but my course was quite a contemporary, conceptual fine arts course. Not much use in the real world where bills have to be paid, but a good foundation in critical thinking and stuff nonetheless. What's your DA account, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh, no I don't mind. It's misssunflower94.deviantart.com A lot of it isn't my really good stuff, just silly little fanart pieces that I don't put as much work into. In my gallery under "portraits" or "For School" is where my better art is. I like doing portraits the most, really.
