Title: My regards, your laughter. Rating: PG Recipient: Crane 1-2 years post WoTE Notes (and any Warnings): Briar is fondly exasperated.
Dear Crane
Do you like writing for an audience? Not that there's any need to answer that. I bet the idea of Imperial Censors peering at your words with fat rulebooks and thick pens makes you all kinds of cheerful. Well, you should know that there were no elisions--magical or inked--in your daft letter.
And yes. I just used the word "elide", in proper context. Properly book-learned, me.
Thanks for your words, all the same. Once I'd picked over all the commas, some of them were quite sweet. And you can stop glaring, now.
If there was a way, I'd be sending you and Rosethorn some of the water hyacinth bulbs that are being turned up this time of the season, They're all the shades of blue that stain the sky. It'd appeal to your sense of grandeur, I reckon.
As to the rest of it: If you think I forgot any of that week, you're losing your tangled mind, old man.
Your regards; my laughter:
BM.
