To: Lisa,
Message: How could I not give you a Dunlath fic?
Title: Flickering Rating: PG Word Count: 131 Wishlist Item: #4 - Fief Dunlath fic Summary: Sometimes, Maura worries she is missing out.
She isn't used to this feeling, this double-thump in her chest as he looks at her. She was too old when he first started visiting for him to be her childhood friend, but she was the friend of his childhood, the first one she confessed her fear of doing the wrong thing to.
An apple lands in her lap, and she twists to see Alan grinning at her.
Maura has always worried that life is what happens when people aren't at Dunlath; her friends seem to have such adventures whilst she studies her books and attends to her fief.
Right then, though, with the warm June sun filtering through the trees, and the first flushes of attraction stealing through her, Maura doesn't feel as though she is missing out at all.

Aw, this is unbelievably precious - I especially love the notion that Maura sometimes wonders if she's missing out. Thank you so much, lovely! <3

Beautifully put together; I loved the language. Great job telling a full, complete story in such a small space, I really felt connected to Maura's feelings right away.
