Title: Naxens Don't Sulk
Rating: G
Words: 302
Wishlist Item: 1. Any ITHOTG-cast downtime (ex- or including ladies at your leisure)
Summary: Gary's not sulking. He's not, OK???
Gary was flopped on his bed, sulking, when someone knocked on his door. He was considering pretending he wasn’t in when the door opened and Raoul stuck his head in. Seeing Gary’s scowl, he grinned and came in.
“Still sulking because Jon got Alan as his Squire?”
Gary drew himself up on his bed and tried to look dignified. “Naxens don’t sulk,” he said in his haughtiest voice. Raoul just chuckled and threw a pillow at Gary’s head, before collapsing in Gary’s desk chair. Gary winced at the creaking sound the chair made, then narrowly missed having his hand crushed as Raoul propped his feet up on the bed. He groaned and fell back on his pillows.
“Aww, come on Gary, snap out of it. It’s the first good day of weather we’ve had all Spring, our Squires all have the day off and even your annoying cousin isn’t here. We should be outside, enjoying ourselves, and instead you’re in here, moping!”
Gary sat up angrily. “For the last time, I’m not...” he started to say as the door opened and Alex walked in. “What is it with you people and not waiting to be told you can come in?”
Alex appraised the scene with a raised eyebrow before addressing Raoul. “I see someone’s still sulking.”
Gary made an angry, guttural sound before storming into his dressing room. Alex and Raoul looked at each other and laughed.
“I can hear you!” Gary shouted from the dressing room. Alex and Raoul laughed harder.
“So,” said Alex, leaning familiarly against the door. “How long do think it’ll take him to get out of this funk?”
Raoul shrugged and settled more comfortably in the poor desk chair. “Probably until right after I threaten to joust against him if he doesn’t come riding with us today.”
