To: Elscy Message: Happy holidays! Hope you like the fic. From: Em Title: Look The Other Way Rating: G Words: 202 Wishlist Item: 2. George/Jon Summary: Kings look after their own.
He had learned to drink and dice with the best of them at the Dove, but still he felt nervous. “Some of them would have to have guessed,” he told George. The night was drawing on to morning and he nursed one last ale between his hands. “I can’t be Johnny forever.” “No one knows, Jon.” “You knew,” Jon says, sharply. “I’m the Rogue,” George says with a grin that’s all teeth. For some reason, it sends a shiver up Jonathan’s spine. He remembers, suddenly, just how dangerous this man is. “I wouldn’t have made it this far if I didn’t have a way of knowing things that people didn’t want me to know.” “I can’t be Johnny forever,” he insists. “Sooner or later, someone will find out.” George studies him in the half-light, hazel eyes unreadable. “I’d take care of it,” he says finally. “You know that, don’t you?” It’s the strangest assurance that Jonathan’s ever had, if he’s understanding George correctly. But, somehow, he finds himself relaxing. He does trust George. And perhaps he’d even let him kill a man, just to keep his secret safe. Jonathan sips his drink in silence, and wonders if he would do the same.

I LOVE THIS! It's amazing.
I absolutely love the power balance between the two of them.

I like how you've captured the tension between them - things are never comfortable, but that's something both sides will understand. Like everyone else said, I love the power dynamics between the two of them when they're in different territories.
