I finally saw The Dark Knight Rises. I've never loved darker movies, so I wasn't surprised that I didn't have the same strong feelings for it that other people I talked to seemed to, but I'm glad I saw it.
I also rewatched The Day After Tomorrow because Hurricane Sandy had me in a stormy, apocalyptic sort of mood.

I watched Kate and Leopold at my friend's house on the weekend. Hugh Jackman was adorable as a Duke from 1876 and there were some hilarious moments, but I wasn't overally wowed.

Umm, Skyfall was the most recent movie I saw. But I've been planning to see Anna Karenina for three weeks now! And OMG THE HOBBIT NEXT WEEK. AND OMG LES MISERABLES THE WEEK AFTER THAT.

My friends made me watch Avatar last night. Was less than impressed (although the scenery was very pretty).

So I finally saw Looper. It wasn't as amazing as I'd imagined, it being shown at the TIFF and all. It was a movie night - it was either that or Sherlock Holmes with RDJ Anyone seen it and thought it was good? I don't know how I'd take it after BBC, lol.

This wasn't quite a movie, more of a BBC two-part miniseries, but Restless, an adaption of William Boyd's novel, and it was superb. I mainly watched it because of the cast (Hayley Atwell, Michelle Dockery and Rufus Sewell), who were amazing. I didn't really know anything about it other than it was some sort of spy movie, and it turned out to be a spy/thriller/mystery thing of excellence with several twists and turns and was really enthralling.

I watched Pitch Perfect again on my recent plane trip! I also watched Ruby Sparks, which was good although some parts made me uncomfortable, and Moonrise Kingdom, which I quite liked.

I saw Silver Linings Playbook with my bf's mum today. That was once decidedly odd movie. It was nothing at all like I thought it would be from the TV ads. I was totally expecting some sort of Romantic Comedy, but it turned out to be completely different. I wasn't all that impressed for about the first 45 minutes or so, but by the end it had turned out to be pretty good. Not something I want to see again though. I was mostly interested to see it because I love Jennifer Lawrence.

Ahhh, help. I just saw North and South which was really good. No, it wasn't just because of Richard Armitage's face. The harmony, or lack thereof, between the mill workers and the overseers was very well done, but I mostly watched it for the chemistry.

Hitchcock, because my parents wanted to watch it. I thought I'd hate it, but it was surprisingly good. And The Perks of Being a Wallflower actually made me teary at the end.

Just saw the Hobbit. Pretty good actually. It stayed completely in line with The Lord of the Rings films, which was nice. Buuutttt..... It was like 2 HOURS LONG.

Saw Iron Man 3 this weekend and it was pretty good. A lot different from the previous two movies, but I liked the human/emotional element to Stark that they emphasized in this one.

I love(d?) Inception too! (Sorry Kyp, A/C fan here ) Did either of you see Burn-E, the short film companion to Wall-E? I've just finished watching The Hunger Games at last. (Hadn't the time to go down to the cinemas then, and only finally acquired it.) Watched Voyage of the Dawn Treader as well--was really hoping they'd go on to the Silver Chair but doesn't look likely

I saw Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon yesterday. And would totally love to know more about Chinese culture, because I got the feeling that I understood only half of the movie due to not getting the "deeper level". (Especially the ending...)
