Title: Homecoming Rating: PG Prompt: This lovely poem by Pablo Neruda. Summary: Being apart is bitter; returning home is sweet. I miss your voice. My voice? Briar could hear her amusment; if he closed his eyes, he could remember the small quirk of her lips. We've been talking almost every day since you've come back in range of Summersea.I miss your voice, he insisted, you hair, the way you laugh -Their bond was silent for a moment. Briar nudged his horse along, waiting, listening to the soft thrumming of their magic. Briar, said Sandry finally, fondly. He felt the back of his neck prickle. How long until you arrive?I can see the city from here, he answered. I'll be at the Citadel before nightfall.Hurry back.Briar grinned, and nudged his mount again to pick up the pace.

Beautiful! This is so sweet, and I love that he misses her real voice.
