Title: Crush Rating: G Word Count: 150 Card: Summer Bingo: Outdoors + Family + Summer + Lazy Afternoon + Heat Summary: A much needed break.
Kel attached Hoshi’s feedbag and gave her mount one last rub before turning and settling down on the grass. She tilted her head back to see the sky stretched out between the trees, the clouds drifting by. A perfect day.
“I thought you liked your brother,” commented Merric, dismounting from his own horse.
“I do,” said Kel. “But that doesn’t mean I want him around all the time. I already have Neal for that.”
The redheaded knight laughed, and Kel couldn’t help but smile back at him. She hadn’t had a chance like this for so long, a chance to unwind, and simply being outside the fort’s walls without the burden of command hanging over her was soothing. It wouldn’t last long, she knew. But she intended to take advantage of this nice hot weather—and, she thought, the good company—while she could.

So cute. I also loved the imagery in this line:
She tilted her head back to see the sky stretched out between the trees, the clouds drifting by. A perfect day.
Congratulations fitting all five prompts into such a short drabble.

This is sweet - a look into her friendship with Merric, as well into her relationship with her brother (which one? or does it even matter? ).

Ahh, I love the relationship between Kel and Merric. It's so casual and friendly, and you've done wonders without saying much at all about it.

This is lovely, and as others have said; I love Kel and Merric’s relaxed friendship in this.
