Title: The Earliest of Flowers Rating: G Couple/Character: Roald I/Lianne I Event: Single sentence shot-put Words: 36 Summary: Lianne's garden is just beginning to bloom.
The earliest of the flowers are beginning to show life in her little garden when she leaves this realm; she won’t see them this year, won’t get to consult with the gardeners and enjoy what’s hers.

*sobs* Gorgeous. My heart is breaking. I love the way you've juxtaposed her flowers coming to life with her death; it highlights the tragedy in a beautifully subtle way. I also like the small image of Lianne in her garden, happy and grounded and focused . . . I get a great sense of her character from that.

Ohhh, this is so pretty - and you've managed to break my heart with a single line. The thought of Lianne no longer able to experience something as simple as the pleasure of her flowers hurts.

*wipes away tears*
The juxtaposition of Spring and death is so harsh, and that's whats fascinating.
