Wyldon watches Kel. Not in a strange, direct way; it is more that when he sees her out of the corner of his eye she demands his attention.
He watches her with men. There are not too many of them, but not too few. He once watched her quash her feelings for best friend, had watched her with Kennan, but now he watches her flirt with the king, watches Jonathan glow under her attention, watches their body language change as they appear to fall in love.
He's always been good at watching.
He sees her turn to Masbolle, another dark-haired man with pretty blue eyes, as the first affair sours and the well of her affection for Jonathan dries. He watches Keladry lose herself in another man, one that even Wyldon must admit is a good one.
Still, he wonders why her eyes never turn towards him, and he hates that he wants them to.
