Title: Real
Rating: G
Word Count: 307
Pairing: Team Underpants
Round/Fight: 1A
Summary: Dom and Evin are stuck babysitting. (Part of the Superheroes! Series)
“Hi-YAH!” A vivacious seven year old with bouncing black curls jumped out from behind a stack of hay bales, arms akimbo in a heroic pose.
“YAH!” A boy tumbled out from behind her, his chubby face alight with all the intensity his five-year-old self could muster.
“Oh no,” Dom mock-groaned, “you caught me!”
“Yeah!” Sarralyn stomped her foot. “We got you, Sergeant Justice! Now you have to go to the dungeons!”
“Yeah! The dungeons!” Rikash echoed, hands firmly planted on his hips.
“But, I don’t want to go to the dungeons,” Dom played along, hanging his head.
Evin popped up from behind the bales of hay. “Don’t be silly, Do- I mean, Sergeant Justice, Sarra and Rikash caught you fair and square!”
“Wait, how come you’re all on the same team?”
Rikash jumped up and down. “Team Awesome, Team Awesome!”
Evin smirked. “Yep, that’s right Rikash, we’re team awesome.” He turned to Dom. “And that means, you have to do what we say.”
“Yeah!” Sarra agreed. “You gotta go to the dungeons!”
“Well,” Dom cast about for an excuse; who knew where the “dungeons” were going to be, especially since Sarra and Rikash had adopted Evin as their newest, bestest friend. “Well, I’ll just use my superpowers to fly away!”
Sarra stuck out her tongue and burst into feathers, causing everyone to stare, and momentarily forget about dungeons.
“…whoa…” Rikash looked from his sister to Dom and Evin, and back to his sister, before shrieking, “… we have REAL SUPER POWERS!”
The children were impossible to deal with for the rest of the day, even after Sarra molted.
Daine, after retrieving two rambunctious, shrieking, giggling children from a desperate Dom and Evin, returned to find Numair puzzling over a slightly confusing missive on his desk.
Dear Numair;
Your children are not real superheroes.
Cheers,
Dom and Evin.
