Title: Roommates (Five)
Rating: G
Word Count: 270
Pairing: Dom/Evin
Round/Fight: 2/A
Summary: The Riders barracks burned down, leaving Evin and Dom sharing a room.
Dom and his squad returned from a run along the palace wall to find the Own barracks full of commotion.
“Are those bunks?” One of his soldiers asked.
Dom looked at the speaker in alarm, before he ran for his room. There was no way they were putting one of those bunks in there! He has paid good money for his bed!
He barreled into his room, only to find it surprisingly tidy. All Evin’s things were out of sight. Dom groaned, the Rider must have moved them so they could put the new bunk in!
Dom turned to find Raoul of his opinion of all this when he discovered Evin in the doorway watching him.
“What do you think?” Evin asked gesturing to the room.
“There is no way they are replacing my bed with one of those bunks!” he said crossing him arms. “If you want one so badly you can go bunk with someone else, because I’m not having one in here!”
Evin just shrugged. “That’s fine. They only have enough to do the two east soldiers rooms. And I think one of those is becoming the women’s bunk room, so they’re all together.” Evin pointed to the corner. “I meant what do you think of my new trunk?”
Dom looked to see a small wooden chest sitting in the corner by his desk, freshly varnished, a sturdy lock holding it closed.
“It’s just like my old one,” Evin continued. “The carpenters only finished it this morning.”
“Oh. It’s nice,” Dom said. “Now if you’ll excuse me?”
“Sure.” Evin let Dom past him. “I’ll see you later.”
