Title: Point of View (3)
Rating: PG
Word Count: 269
Pairing: Dom/Evin
Round/Fight: 2/A
Summary: Miri tries to explain.
“You were kissing him!” Dom cried, glaring alternatively from Miri to Evin.
Miri’s jaw dropped. “I never!” she exclaimed. “Dom, I wouldn’t do that!”
“Yeah, Dom,” Evin agreed, crossing his arms. “I wouldn’t kiss Miri, that’s disgusting!”
“Disgusting?” Miri gaped. “Evin!” she cuffed him over the head before returning to the problem at hand. “Dom, I was not kissing Evin. The fool thought he had something in his teeth-“
“Ha! A likely story!” Dom snapped, throwing down the bouquet of violets he’d been meaning to give Miri, before he walked in on her and Evin. “And you decided to get it out with your tongue did you?!”
“Now that’s disgusting,” Evin said, feeling the need to contribute to the discussion. “And Miri, did you just call me a fool?”
Miri took a slow deep breath. “Seriously, Dom, he thought he had food in his teeth and wouldn’t leave me alone until I checked. And yes, Evin, I called you a fool, and will continue to do so loudly and publicly until you prove otherwise.”
“Oh,” Evin said with a pout, “I thought maybe you’d called me a jewel, and I misheard you.”
Dom, realising that the circumstance Miri had described did, in fact, sound a lot like something Evin would do, stepped forward looking a little bashful and said, “I’m sorry I yelled, Miri. I don’t really think you would kiss Evin. You’re much too smart and wonderful to do that.”
“Hey!” Evin protested, “I resent that!”
Dom picked up the now very pathetic looking bunch of flowers and offered them out to Miri. “Can you ever forgive me?”
