Title: F is for Fluorescence Rating: PG Word Count: 139 Pairing: Jon/Zahir – Team Bend-a-lot Round/Fight: 1A Summary: (n) the property of producing light when acted upon by radiant energy; light so produced.
She is called Thayet the Peerless. But when Zahir smiles—a real smile, so different to his smirks and the slight curl of his lips—it reminds Jonathan of the desert, of a flower in bloom against the sand and the sky.
He runs his hand along dark skin, watching the way his squire’s lips part at the touch; watching him fall apart, his breathing ragged, sets fire running beneath Jonathan’s skin. Sometimes he leans down and kisses him, just because he can, and it’s all tongue and teeth and absolutely wonderful.
As much as Jonathan denies it to himself, as much as he loves taking Zahir apart piece by piece, as much as he hates the thought of being a romantic old fool, after all is said and done he knows that he’s just waiting for that smile.

Oh, oh, oh! I've always thought that Zahir's real smiles were few and far between, and that Jonathan sees this, and wants to see them more, is a thing of beauty.

Wow. Hot. And the prose is gorgeous. You have such a talent with snippets that say so much, like "watching him fall apart." Really beautiful.
