Title: So not wrong Rating: PG Word count: 180 Pairing: Jonathan/Zahir Round/Fight: Round 1, Fight A Summary: 4th Part of the ‘So not true’ series, where Jonathan is not in denial, or jealous, or wrong.
“Jon hated feeling like this. He was torn and confused. His inability to decide was driving him crazy. There was only so much a King or a man can take.
He could no longer fool himself into thinking all he felt for Zahir was admiration and respect. Thoughts of the young squire captivated his waking hours; while wicked dreams tortured him at night. A flash of smooth, dark skin here, a glimpse of strong thighs and taunt muscles there; it was enough to drive him wild with longing.
He shouldn’t feel this way. He knew this. It felt different from before. He and Alanna had been pages and squires together. They were friends and comrades. What he had with Alanna was mutual. It hadn’t felt like he was taking advantage.
This time, what he was about to do with Zahir was not the same. He couldn’t be sure it would be mutual. Zahir was not his equal, but his subject, in more ways than one. This felt very much like taking advantage.
But still, it felt right. Oh so right.

Love that you snuck Alanna in there! The comparison is intriguing.

I second inthefire.
The comparison to Alanna and the lines "Zahir was not his equal, but his subject, in more ways than one. This felt very much like taking advantage" were a very nice touch! Great job!

I really like that you acknowledged that Alanna was his equal and Zahir wasn't- Alanna would argue with him, but Zahir would probably just say "Yes, your majesty," and continue.

I agree with everyone else, I loved the comparison with Alanna.
