Title: Q is for Quixotic Rating: PG Word Count: 144 Pairing: Jon/Zahir – Team Bend-a-lot Round/Fight: 1A Summary: (a) placing honour and devotion before self.
Thayet wonders. She wonders about a lot of things, but at present her thoughts seem to be caught on the mystery of her husband and his new squire.
And, oh yes, she knows; there is no doubt in her mind about how the boy feels, and perhaps even about how Jon feels. That, you see, is why she wonders: nothing is happening.
Are they both too shy, too manly, too scared to admit it? Do neither of them realise what the other one wants?
She watches them. It’s utterly perplexing (and even a little frustrating), but eventually she reaches a conclusion. It’s not satisfying, and she’s sure it must be even less so for the two of them, but that is the point she gets to. Perhaps it is not fault or fear that holds them back. Perhaps it is something far more noble.

Wonderful! I love seeing Thayet's side, and how she recognizes the nobility in them resisting. Also, don't listen to pandora. Your J/Z writing is gorgeous, and you should never stop.
