Title: Colour Rating: G Word Count: 220 Pairing: Lark/Rosethorn Round/Fight: 1/B Summary: Lark loves colour.
Lark loved colour. She loved the way the dyes stained her hands. She loved the way colour made even the dullest thread vibrant and beautiful. She loved how colour wove its way through her life, and her love.
She loved the colour red because that was the colour Rosie painted her lips, and she loved how it stained her cheeks when they kissed.
She loved the colour orange because it was the colour of the flowers Rosie wove into a crown and placed on her head.
Lark loved the colour yellow because it was the colour of their mugs, and every morning they wrapped their hands around them, leaned on each other, and drank tea.
She loved the colour green because it was the colour of the garden, and she knew that was where she could find Rosie.
Lark loved the colour blue because it was the colour of the dyes Rosethorn made for her, and it was the colour of the dyes she wove into a blanket that they shared.
Lark loved the colour auburn because it was the colour of Rosie’s hair, and she loved how it mingled with her own dark brown, streaming together in the sunlight.
But she loved pink, and red, and yellow, and orange most of all- because they were the colours of roses.

This is lovely! I like how every color reminds her of Rosethorn -- that's the very nature of being in love.

She loved the colour red because that was the colour Rosie painted her lips, and she loved how it stained her cheeks when they kissed. And I just died all over the place.
Lark loved the colour auburn because it was the colour of Rosie’s hair, and she loved how it mingled with her own dark brown, streaming together in the sunlight. *Flails all over the adorable.*
I love how this is a little rainbow montage of the many ways Lark loves Rosethorn, from passion to their peaceful early morning tea. Such a beautiful tale! I love the repetition and the strict pattern, yet how much freedom you express through your writing. Absolutely lovely.
