Title: Earth Rating: G Word Count: 105 Pairing: Lark/Rosethorn Round/Fight: 1/B Summary: Rosethorn smells like the earth itself
Rosethorn smelled like the earth.
Most people would have found it off-putting, Lark mused as she threaded her loom. But she loved it, the tangy, musky scent, mixed with sweat. Rosethorn could have worn perfume, but Lark would rather she didn’t. She liked it.
Rosethorn smelled like rain when it hit the dry earth; she smelled like freshly turned earth before it was planted; she smelled like spring; she smelled like summer. She smelled like a thousand gardens, and Lark was content to just love her, and breathe in her scent.
So when her sheets began to smell like flowers and herbs, Lark didn’t mind.

So when her sheets began to smell like flowers and herbs, Lark didn’t mind. So beautiful, that Lark's sheets have begun to be a garden due to Rosethorn planting herself there. I love Lark's appreciation of this as well, and her understanding of how precious Rosethorn's scent is just for being hers. And what glorious things come to mind with that!
Beautiful story.
