Title: Rest Rating: G Word Count: 105 Pairing: Lark/Rosethorn Round/Fight: 2/B Summary: Children demand rest.
“I think we slept more before they came,” Rosethorn grumbled, running a hand through her tousled hair, trying to look half-presentable. The afternoon nap had done little to dull the bags under her eyes, though.
“Life is definitely more active with them around,” Lark agreed, setting the table for dinner.
“That’s one way to put it,” Rosethorn said. She took a seat at the table, arranging the cups that Lark removed from the cupboard. “Do you think they’ll ever settle down?” She could already hear them approaching, a whirlwind of noise in the quiet temple grounds.
“I hope not,” Lark told her cheekily, eyes glimmering.

The afternoon nap had done little to dull the bags under her eyes, though. Ugh, Rosethorn, I know the feeling. And yes, adopted children will ruin a woman's sleep-pattern and hair! (She'll be looking for greys soon.) Oh, and Lark is just darling! Yes, cheeky indeed. Adorable! Well done. (:
