Title: The Well Rating: PG Word Count: 127 Pairing: Lark/ Rosethorn Fight: 2/B Summary: The well at Discipline has seen its share of life.
The well sat on the edge of Rosethorn’s garden at Discipline Cottage. It was a place filled with love and joy and sorrow and pain. It was where they sat and talked for hours when there was nothing to do. It was where Lark would sit while Rosethorn worked just so they could spend time together. Rosethorn would threaten to drown the students, and Lark would secretly laugh. After Rosethorn left, Lark would sit there and watch the garden because it the purest form of Rosethorn left while she willed for Rosethorn to come home safe and sound. When Rosethorn came home battered and broken, it was at the well that Lark would sit with her friend while she cried, because that was all she could do.

Ohh, poor both of them. =[ Good twist to the drabble, though, heading from the light times at the well to the darker times. The image of Lark sitting there, alone - watching Rosie's plants and waiting for her to come home - is powerful.
