Title: Drinks

Summary: Clary finally gives into his request.
The fourth in a series of the couples firsts.
The first time she went to get a drink with Mattes (only my mother calls me ‘Matthias’, love, and you aren’t nearly scary enough”), she found that he could actually be quiteattractive nice funny. Once his arm had been patched, they walked to a quiet little up town pub.
A round of drinks latter and she laughing at his jokes and returning his smiles. A few more and she promised to stop calling him “Hillman” (“Only in a very different tone is that acceptable”). By the time she reached five, she was trying to learn Hurdik. “It’s not my fault you people demand to roll your Rs so much. You really are just trying to infatuate a girl.”
“Am I infatuatin’ you yet, darlin’?” He asked, wiggling his eyebrows and putting far more emphasis on that damned R than was necessary. When she giggled, rather than slapping him, he knew she had had too much to drink and helped her from the bench.
He led her home, her leaning far too much on his bad arm and him enjoying her proximity to much to mention it.
“This was fun.” She said at her door step, “Let’s do it again sometime.”
“Gods, deary, if I knew all I had to do to get you to like me was to get a little scratch, I would have done it long ago.” He hoped the teasing in his eyes would hide the truth.
