Summary: Mattes knows Clary better than she would sometimes like.
“Tunstall, if you even so much as think about canoodling with her, I will make you regret it. Understood?”
Mattes grinned. “Understood. Believe me, you have no need to be jealous and bring your claws out.”
Clary’s eyes narrowed. “She’s our Puppy, you looby. We have a responsibility to her. We can’t do our jobs if you’re both too busy making eyes at each other to make sure she doesn’t get her nob bashed in.”
“Reasonable as you sound, I know you’re just jealous.”
His partner glared at him. “I’ll be watching you,” she warned, and she turned to walk away.
Mattes smiled to himself. He loved it when she got jealous.
