Title: Disgrace

Summary: Clary always thought it would be her.
Clary always thought it would be her that disgraced herself by crying. Somehow, she hadn’t done it yet, but she was sure that one day she’d have a bad day that just kept on getting worse (and probably her monthlies on top of it all), and she’d not be able to stop herself from bursting into tears.
She never thought for a moment that big, strong, calm Matthias Tunstall would beat her to it, and she was caught completely off guard. Once her mind caught up to the situation (thankfully without causing her to blurt out that he didn’t even have monthlies to set him off), she tentatively stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him.
And weeks later when her turn came, he did the same for her…and it didn’t even feel like a disgrace at all.
