Summary: Mattes knew he was the best partner ever.

Mattes grinned to himself as he remembered the night he’d ‘cured’ his partner of her fear of spiders. He truly had meant well by it, but surely it wasn’t a bad thing that he’d also enjoyed it immensely?
And he wasn’t enough of a looby to point it out, but whether Clary truly wasn’t afraid of spiders anymore or if she refused to react and give him incentive to repeat his ‘cure’, she hadn’t shrieked at the sight of a spider since.
She hadn’t been too thankful (well, thankful at all), but Mattes knew he was the best partner ever.

He wondered if there was a similar way to cure Cooper’s shyness.
