Summary: There was just a little part of him that wished he was like gravity too.
Clary and her husband had a connection; it was obvious to anyone who knew her well. She’d been…anxious, not her usual self, the entire time they’d been away on the hunt, and now that they were headed home again it seemed that every nerve in her body was humming in anticipation. Tomlan was like the earth to Clary – she couldn’t live without him, and no matter how far away she went, there was something about him that always pulled her back.
Mattes was her partner and he knew that she was glad to be sent on the hunt with him rather than another Dog…but he couldn’t help feeling just a little jealous as he watched her wrap her arms around her husband and kiss him.
