Summary: “We’re only partners for as long as it takes me to get you to quit.” Set in Verasque’s Dogs on Ice universe.
“So, how about we go and have a coffee after training? Get to know each other, since we’re partners now.”
Clary glared at him. “I’m meeting my boyfriend, and we’re only partners for as long as it takes me to get you to quit.”
“You’re also pretty good at convincing me to stay, wearing tights and a leotard like that.”
Clary stopped skating and tugged her hand out of his. “Touch me again and I’ll make you regret it.”
“But how’re we supposed to do what Ahuda said if you won’t co-operate?”
“I don’t know,” Clary snapped. “Figure something out.”
Mattes grinned. He loved a good challenge.
