Title: Heat (Weather 2)

Summary: In the heat, Clary and Mattes try to get work done.
Corus in the summer could be sweltering. Even on evening watch, when the sun dipped behind the high outer wall and the lamps went up in night market, the heat radiated up and stuck one’s clothes to their skin.
These days were when Clary wanted to leave behind her thick leather armor, but kept it on anyway. These were the days that Mattes question the true necessity of clothing, and wondered why they didn’t just all go bare.
After watch, they would clean of the layer of sweat in a cool bath, scrubbing the worst off of each other. Of course, they had a tendency to just work up a sweat again afterwards, but it was the thought that mattered.
