Title: When Pigs Fly

Summary: Thayet helps Buri get ready for the ball with the bookroom discussion that takes place in Squire.
“I can’t believe you’re making me go to another ball,” Buri told Thayet. “You know perfectly well that I hate dressing up and making polite conversation.
“The experience will be good for you. And you never know. You might actually end up having a decent time,” Thayet retorted, helping the Kmir woman into her dress.
“The day I have fun at a ball will be the day that pigs fly.” Seeing something move past the window, both women looked out. Flying towards Daine, and Numair, who were standing on their balcony, was a small pig.
“Well, it looks like you’ll be having fun at the ball after all then.” Thayet told Buri lightly, walking out of the room. Buri started muttering about queens who thought they knew what was best for everybody as she left.
-THE NEXT DAY-
“So did you have fun? Thayet asked her longtime friend.
“Yes,” Buri sighed. Thayet cackled with glee.
“I knew that you would like balls when pigs flew!”
