Title: Getaway Rating: G Wordcount: 108 Pairing: Team Girl Power Round/Fight: 1/B Summary: Thayet's safety is what matters to Buri.
-
They are safe; this is all that matters.
Buri had never expected a red-headed lady knight to ride in on a white horse and rescue them, but the unthinkable happened and now her relief is only that she will not have to die protecting Thayet. If she dies, who will her princess have left?
Unfortunately safety meant getting out of Sarain, safety meant means an escape into Tortall, leaving behind the few scattered remnants of their family, Kalasin’s grave, her mother, her brother, and unfair laws that deserve to be stuck down.
Buri hadn’t wanted to run away, but she would follow Thayet anywhere the other girl asked.

I love the practical way you've portrayed Buri's devotion to Thayet, and how she actually has doubts about leaving Sarain but can't abandon her princess. Very pretty.

So lovely - you've managed to express Buri's devotion so clearly and sweetly with so few words!

Really good. I love how she wants to follow Thayet, but she doesn't want to leave everything behind.
