Title: The Feel of Silk Rating: PG Wordcount: 114 Pairing: Team Girl Power (Buri/Thayet) Round: 1/B Summary: Buri likes the positions being switched.
-
The other woman’s skin is not soft, and neither is hers. Buri traces Thayet’s curves with calloused fingers, roughly scarred from years of protecting and fighting for her princess and her people. Thayet is strong, not made of sweetness and softness, and Buri even less so.
Yet Thayet is always so gentle with her, always touches her like she might break if pressed. Buri has never thought that she was something precious, something elegant, a fan made of silk- that role always went to Kalasin’s daughter as it rightly should. Yet Thayet treats her gently and it is a strange, glorious dichotomy. She almost does not want to revel in it, but she does.

I love how neither of them are soft- they're both hardened from years of war. It's a very intriguing look at them.
